The cupola (1463) of the cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore dominates the town of Florence from its 91 Meters.
Its interior is decorated by frescos of the Last Judgement (1574) started by Vasari..
The cathedral (Duomo) was devoted in 1436, the very elegant bell-tower was started by Giotto in 1334 and was finished in 1359. It measures 85 meters, covered with marble of several colours.
The mosaics of the Baptistery (XIIth) represent the last judgement. .
