The construction of the church by the Dominican started in 1279 to finish in 1357.
There are sumptuous frescos, among its, the Trinity of Masaccio, the frescos of the Cappela Strozzi, those of the cappella Tornabuoni (scenes of life of saint Jean Baptist, by Ghirlandaio, photograph of right-hand side) ,the vault of Spanish...
The main external frontage was altered then finished in 1470 by Alberti.
