Pienza is a commune of 2.231 inhabitants of the province of Siena in the Valley of Orcia, of a major artistic importance. Near to the road Cassia and other importants cities of the valley, San Quirico d' Orcia and Castiglione d' Orcia.
Among the tuscans hills, this place is very nice and quiet.
A great part of the artistic inheritance of Pienza is concentrated in its main place, surrounded of four important buildings: the cathedral, the communal palate, the Borgia Palate and Palazzo Piccolomini.
In Monticchiello, is held "The Poor' theatre", annual presentation, self-managed by the inhabitants of the locality, and dedicated to narrations on the local country life or world topics.
